Windshaper names in WoW Forever belong to the Horde branch of the Skyborne, an elven people of Skywall who are closely bound to the wind spirits. Like every Forever character they need a first and a second name, unique as a pair across your region. The generator below builds breathy Windshaper first names with wind and flight surnames, and checks each pair against the Forever naming rules.
Windshaper first names sound like air moving. They favour soft sibilants and long vowels, with sh, s and y sounds that High Order names use less: Ayera, Shaira, Wynara, Lyssael. Endings such as -ssa, -wyn, -yra and -ael give them a whispered finish. They are usually two or three syllables, and they read best when spoken quickly, which suits hunters and rogues who are rarely standing still.
Windshaper surnames come from wind, weather and flight. The first half is a wind word (Gale, Gust, Squall, Zephyr, Tempest) or a bird of the high air (Hawk, Falcon, Kite, Gull); the second half is what the character does with the wind: caller, singer, shaper, rider, chaser. Galecaller, Gustsinger and Kitesail all fit. Spirit and ritual words such as Chime, Drum and Totem tie the branch to its shamans.
Class shapes the result. Shamans suit the spirit and ritual roots: Chimecaller, Totemgale. Hunters and rogues suit birds and speed: Hawkchaser, Swiftdive. Warriors suit storm words with weight behind them, such as Tempestrider, and druids suit the gentler breeze and rain roots.
Windshaper names should still feel elven, not tauren or troll. Keep hard k and g sounds rare in the first name, and let the surname carry the strength.
The Skyborne choose a faction at character creation in Forever. Guides covering the beta describe the Windshapers as the Horde branch, more closely connected to the wind spirits than the arcane-minded High Order, with both branches starting on Zephras Isle.
Beta guides list warrior, hunter, rogue, druid and shaman for Windshaper Skyborne, and the class menu in the generator follows that list. Every Windshaper has a first and a second name, and uniqueness is checked on the complete pair across the region.
Each part must be letters only and 2 to 12 characters long, with no apostrophes or hyphens. Doubled letters like the ss in Lyssael are fine; three in a row are reported to be rejected.
Both names are evaluated together for restricted words. Check the full pair before you create the character.
Guides covering the beta place the Skyborne starting zone on Zephras Isle for levels 1 to 12, shared by both branches. That means your Windshaper name will sit next to High Order names from day one, and a clear wind or flight surname is the easiest way to show which side you chose. Windshaper players who also roll a High Order character often keep the same first name style for both, then let the surname mark the faction: Shaira Galecaller on the Horde, Shaira Dawnglyph on the Alliance. Both pairs can exist, because uniqueness is checked on the full name.
